Looks like things might work out better for eb, he is now spending more time with his foster mum over the holidays & less time with us. They are trying to make it all work. Its better for us too, we have him 27th dec-5th jan. then later in Jan we have him for anther week. Fingers crossed he can stay with his foster mum.

Suzanne, all the best with all your preparations and guests.

Hally you are doing an amazing job with the foster boys, I'm sure the experience will stay with CP for life. I hope it all goes well over the holidays. All the best with the news on MIL. Remember to take care of yourself during all this.

DJ, those hampers sound amazing, your friends are very lucky.

Glad you know where you stand now Hally, he will have a great time at your house but the pressure is not so great now for you. Hopefully the poor lad can have a stable life one way or the other.

I remember as a kid we would pester Mum to talk Dad into taking us to the beach when he got home from work. It didn't work very often but on the occasions when he said yes, I can remember how excited I was.  These were the days before he became a supervisor so after a long day at work as a plumber and doing more manual work back then than they do today, I now understand why he would have been too tired on most occasions to want to go out again.

I *think* I have now finished the Xmas shopping (baking for the hampers not included)!!!   ;D

DS has recently changed his mind about what he wants Santa to bring (after I told him Santa usually brings TOYS not new shoes, as he doesn't know his shoe size), so had to go and check up on those elves to make sure they were making the right thing...  ;)

Travelled home today after being at the beach for a week with all the family.  We had a wonderful time but I am so glad to be home.
