These 'big' things have always fascinated me Michele and I'm sorry now I didn't take photos of every one we saw on our campervan trip to Cook many years ago.  They would have made a great album for the GKs to look at.

I'm a fan of "The Big" too Judy.  So sad our Lake Macquarie Big Prawn didn't survive the fires.  :(

DD had a picture of most of the 'Big' things in a calendar she was given this year. I love seeing them on our trips.

Are they going to rebuild it Michele?  I don't know how many 'big' things we have in SA, I can only think of the giant rocking horse in the hills town of Gumeracha.

We have returned today from a camping trip in our van to Somerset Dam. Beautiful area but very hot up around the 40's. It was soooo hot. DS7 turned the tap on in the van and said "Why did you turn the hot water on?" our reply was we don't have hot water lol ........ and the water didn't run cool either. Great trip away though.

No air conditioning Judy. It wasn't too bad at night for sleeping, but we were out and about a lot during the day. We were out on our friends boat and jetski one of the days and despite applying sunscreen repeatedly, my DS5 got a blister on the top of his lip and under his eyes were burnt ! You especially don't realise how hot it is when you're in the water.

Glad to be home to air conditioning though .......... it's forecast for 41 for Brisbane tomorrow yikes.

cleaning up  today :)  ready to go back work Monday.

spent 4 hours in the pool yesterday with the kids.

Beautiful countryside DJ!

We escaped the heat this morning to take our Henry dog and the kids for a swim.

Had to splash the kids a few times to encourage them in.

I think baking is on the cards this afternoon. And finally making a decision on lunch boxes for school!

DH and I have had a day in the garden. DH loves cactus and succulents, he has been nurturing them from the tiniest little plants and today potted them.

Succulents are huge in Adelaide. Not so much here but they can grow. I don't have any but do love them.
