DS and I have been busy dentist and Telehealth with Orthapidic surgeon , doing very well bone knitting together , he now can do more but take it easy no lifting . Also saw DS pedestrian who explained his recovery as being so important . DS is now 181 cms , oh my that’s 5ft 11.2 . At nearly 16 that’s tall . DS got some new school shoes yes 11 1/2 , ok now he decided he needed a casual shoe and it’s a size 12 . We have done office works , DD FaceTimed to choose a few things . Now a quick sprint to the beach so I can go to face to face bookclub tonight which I joined over Covid which was zoomed then !!

Good to see everyone so busy and coping.
Cookie, not nice about the wait for your car.
Last night had DD and GC for dinner.  Made Rick Steins fish pie. It was delicious, especially the sauce.  I adapted the recipe a bit as I had scallops, salmon and Marinara mix. Enough leftover for Seafood pancakes.
I also made sausage rolls and spinach and feta rolls in sausage roll machine. I’m finding this easier than the pie machine as 1 sheet of pastry makes 4 rolls with no trimmings.
Also made a very large peach crumble with added raspberries and blue berries. Used RTE crumble topping. Chucked all in TMX.  Should have left out the rolled oats and added them later.

That meal sounds delicious Chookie.

This morning I did the grocery shopping. DH went to a Model A friends house. This afternoon I’m catching up with friends for coffee. One is a retired teacher and one is still working as she is a young Principal. (Just turned 50👏)

I had an appointment with my GP for script and a blood test this morning and I had my hair cut this afternoon.

This is very important Judy. I had my weekly Nanna nap today. When I wake up properly I will feel recharged-I think.

I haven't done much at all today. The ironing and other necessary things.

It was like a snap of what a holiday should be so yes I enjoyed the time . Yesterday DS and I drove home but we did a large fruit and veggie shop with a few added treats . At the beach we have a veggie patch or two worked on by DB and DM had added to it too . So picked our annual runner beans , a coss lettuce , baby cucumbers, kefir limes , and a bit of basil . Home DD had done a great job washing and cleaning up , collected eggs too . It was very warm and we were tiered ! Harvest food first night home !! Toasted sandwiches, oh well I was not prepared and had half a loaf of bread only .

Cookie, I have been thinking about your Nanna naps.  In an effort to control the pain in my leg, exercises, pain killers, magnesium ointment, I have added a Nanna nap.  I think this may be making a big difference. For the last 2 days I have had less pain. Thank you Cookie.

I was concerned to see you were still limping over Xmas, Chookie.  Keep looking after yourself.

Good to hear a Nana nap is beneficial Chookie, it also slows you down for a short time and maybe you need that as well.
