I tried to fix the wood furnace ( boiler) , it’s outside in a brick shed , well backs onto the garage. Put a long metal rod in to tickle the ashes to get air in ! It stuck in the grill at the bottom, tried to problem solve ..DH to the rescue again . The rod is as tall as me and the lid was open ! The trials of our boiler for hydronic heating .

Thank goodness DH was around to help you K Atie.
Moving forward cookie, lots to do in times like this especially if the will is not up to date. The nursing home shouldn’t take too long to refund the bond.

True Judy. As you say one step at a time.
I went and had my hair cut this morning.

Picked DS up from school , before I got him some sushi drink and a Portuguese tart . He was too tiered to take over the driving. Home to study for exams next week . Think there maybe a little bit of tractor work ,seeding he has plans to do , mmm well here’s hoping he can work it all in .

A day in bed with a very sore throat and runny nose and also a headache for the whole week ! Sleep Netflix , honey and lemon drink , avocado brioche bun ! While DS studies , took his newly replaced drone for a test run ( last one collided with the header while harvesting this summer) . Hopefully the boys will cook dinner and I make a recovery by tomorrow. All good .

KAtie, that doesn't sound good. Like Cookie I hope it is not Covid. I hope you recover quickly.
Yesterday I went shopping with DD for some baby items, we are going to be great grandparents sometime in the next few weeks. This will be our first GGC. After shopping we went out for lunch to a Italian restaurant. Yum.

Your symptoms certainly sound like either the flu or Covid K Atie, rest is certainly needed for a quicker recovery.
Congratulations on the impending birth of your first great-grand child Margaret, how exciting that must be.

Both DH and I did a test for Covid.. no we don’t have it all negative . Seriously no temp so not the flu .
Margret congratulations on the upcoming birth of GGC , how exciting.
Organised the kittens accomodation for tonight. They will be warm and not able to eat reading for their little operations tomorrow. Will be interesting if they behave in the dog carrier for the trip to vet tomorrow.

Yikes Marina!
I agree, unfortunately it was not straightforward so I had no choice.

Both the wallet and the mouth hurt. Ouch.
We had coffee run with car club members this morning. As usual great fun.

Oh I’m having a crown done on Friday good luck to me . I do not like the process and put this off for two years so it’s time to take action .
Kittens all spade , desexed ! Yesterday. Three in a pet carrier was very amusing and on return two girls had cones on ... with white printed paws and fish on them . Three bandages on three legs to remove that night , all separated! Girls to be locked up for two weeks separately , Jerry he gets to romp around freely! Lucky we have a great double dog run off the ground . But they are ok except i am concerned they will be warm enough. Thus lots of bedding . Jerry went down and visited them with me but he has been meowing a lot .
Picked DS up after three exams today , all done and a super long weekend ahead . Bonus he drove home DH in charge tonight and we nearly got wiped out ( as far as DH thinks ) all good .
