I’m making the custard and shells for Portuguese Custard tarts today. I’ll assemble and bake them tomorrow.  I’m pushed for time tomorrow.

DS and DIL called in today for lunch.  Settlement has finally taken place on their property and they were heading off to Lakes Entrance for a few days to relax.

Friend for afternoon tea. She is bringing mandarins from her tree and lemons.
Neighbour dropped in a tray of over 100 radish seedlings. I’ve planted what I can and passing on the rest.
Our Probus book club has just released the catalogue for us to select our books for next year. Took me 2 hours to select 3 fiction and 3 non fiction. I chose from newly released as other members have read many of the other books on the list.

That will be a wrench yet a relief.  Hope they get a good rest at Lakes Entrance.

Mab, avery stressful tine for DS DIL. The Lakes will be perfect.
Raining and very windy in Ballarat. Not cold.
Made. Awesome Cheese sauce to serve with steamed veggies. I used the steam function on the 7. I’ve been watching a few utube videos about TMX 7. Most are so basic they are useless.
A little baking.

What a week we got home late at night . Then the next day I threw my clothes out of on board bag packed for overnight stay and hoped in DF car to go to bookclub on the coast . Do fun and we did dinner as well . DS had his Ute serviced the next day and then back to NSW Uni ! Home to no one as they squeezed in a tractor program Cooper lectures in Ballarat . Days of washing . Bonus almost emptied my bags . No dinner Friday as out to drinks with DGFS . Today DH had breakfast in bed , sautéed mini zucchini ( they are cute and yummy) with eggs croissant home made strawberry jam tea ! DD rang before work! DS we might hear from they won the grand final reserves team footy, yesterday . Storms last night woke us up .

On impulse, I went to the Makers and Shakers market at the Royal Exhibition building.  I had never heard of this market before but it is by far the the best market I have been to in a long, long time.  So very many tempting things to buy and loads of different food trucks, sweet things, gins, whiskeys, kombucha, chai ... you name it, it was there. Managed to pick up an Xmas gift for my 3 y.o. great niece, DH's favourite sauce (bought x 3 of them because I rarely see this particular sauce in the shops) - my poor credit card was worn away to nothing!!

Dropped in to Gewertzhaus (probably not spelled correctly, sorry about that) on the way home for some Garlic Lover's Spice ...  one of my favourite things!

Yesterday DD and 2 GC came for Father's Day.  I asked GS how to get rid of all the ads that keep popping up on my computer.  He put some program on and now I have no more annoying ads. These young ones are so IT smart.

Today I received my appointment for another test so that the doctors can decide what to do with me. but it's not until Feb 2026.  Unfortunately I am in the too hard basket and no one is quite sure what to do with me next.

That is dreadful Mab.
I rang around and found a Physio who knew a bit about giddiness. I felt he was very thorough. He had a machine that was sort of like goggles.  It somehow filmed my eyes while my eyes were in complete blackness. He has given me some exercises to do and he is ringing on Wednesday to see how I am. He reckons I’ll be near enough back to normal. I do hope he’s right.
Apparently not many Physios do this. I haven’t cancelled my November appointment yet, I will see how I go.

Mab, hang in there, I’m sure they haven’t forgotten you. From experience, a lot goes on in the background that we are not aware of .
Cookie, what you have is obviously not the same as my Vertigo. I take a pill and lay low for a day and are then ok.
Today, Committee meeting for Probus, then gardener and cleaner. It’s raining again so not sure what can be done outside.

A bit of a wait Margaret but I’m sure your specialist is conferring with others re your condition and won’t give up until he can help you in some way. You must be losing weight being on this limited diet and to do so much wonderful cooking for your family that you can’t eat is very sad.
I agree about the young ones being so tech savvy, it must be great to have no ads.

Sounds like you’re doing OK cookie, the physio chap seems quite positive that the goggles will work.

I’ve just booked to go to a cooking class in Feb next year. It’s at the Agrarian Kitchen in Tasmania. It’s called Tomato Gluttony. It will be the 4 th. class I’ve attended at this cooking school.
Out for lunch with Probus today.
