I'm so happy that someone else is going to clean the new house we are moving into and at a good price!! There was so much to do there and it's such a weight lifted off my shoulders knowing that I will have it clean ready for us to move in

Yes it is exciting but sad at the same time as we will be leaving the home we first lived in as a married couple and had our first baby in. Lots of good memories in this house!
However moving into a bigger and better house in a family friendly area so good things to look forward to.

I have always cleaned the house I am selling - would never think to walk out and leave it for someone else to do
I'm sure our members would do the same.
Good luck in your new house Tasty, we all need room to grow and you will soon love the new house as much as you did the old one.
Some flowers for your new house.

They're lovely JD! I'm sure Tasty will enjoy them.
Happy because I'm heading down to my house in Albany on Thursday. Can't wait to get into the garden (very unlike me!) and sort the kitchen a bit more. Need to find a nice doona cover and a couple of other things while I'm there.

A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Very exciting news Tasty.
I have never been overly attached to any house I've had and I'm onto No 7.
I was a bit sad when mum moved into the retirement village earlier this year. That home was where we had lived since I was five years old. Started kindergarten there and had the same phone number for 47yrs.

Tasty - a brilliant idea to get the house done before you moved in! It's a huge load off your shoulders and now you can just concentrate on moving forward! Good luck with the move - hope everything goes smoothly and that you quickly begin to feel "right at home!"

My parents have lived in 3 houses in over 50 years of marriage. On the other hand my eldest DD was 5 before she had a birthday twice in the same house. We have lived in 14 houses in 30 years. After a while you don;t get too attached to them.
Though I did think the one we sold 2 year ago was going to be our growing old in house and I was very sorry to sell it but you really can't go back once you move forward.

I'm happy I've lived in the same house since I was born, I even have the same room, same curtains, same paint on the walls
It will probably make it harder to move out eventually though
I went for a run this morning and saw a baby bandicoot and a baby wren
