It's wonderful to see young people participating in ANZAC Services.  :D

Robyn is your DH a returned serviceman? I guess he must be if he marched, unless he wore his Dad's medals. Where did her serve?

No Cookie, He is in the local Pipe Band. So they get invited to play at all the marches, to lead them. They played at 3 marches yesterday.

Lots of bagpipes, and he plays side drum.
He has played drums since he was a teenager.

My Mum has her Dads and her Brothers medals.
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

What a clever man he is Robyn. I love the bag pipes too

I have all my Dad's medals safely tucked away. Just as he gave them to me. All bits and pieces.

I can't stand bagpipes :( And I'm even of Scottish decent! :-))

Well done to DS Robyn, and a great effort from your DD too Nikki :D

I used to march in our brass band on ANZAC day. The parade organisers always put us behind the horses so we had to try and dodge poo as we walked down the street. It was very tricky to read from a lyre and dodge big poo piles at the same time :-))

I am VERY happy because it looks like I may be getting on top of this hay fever after a week. It has really knocked me about. I really didn't want to do anything except sleep. I have had so many afternoon naps this week I should be ashamed.

I'm pleased to hear you're feeling better Cookie.  Sometimes we have to listen to our bodies and rest when needed.

I've been lucky enough to have never been troubled with hay fever but it really knocks some people about.  Glad you are feeling better and never be ashamed of having to have nana naps, we only have them when they are needed. xx

Hehehe, love that you don't like the bag pipes Amy! Good for you  ;D

Good that the hay fever is easing up Cookie.

I'm sooo happy that my very old, chunky mobile phone has given up the ghost. I'm not replacing it as I don't use it. The only thing is I don't know my DD, DS or SIL numbers and they don't have land lines. I guess they will ring me eventually.  8)
