Please help
« on: June 27, 2012, 07:56:39 am »
Has anyone had a day with their Thermomix that everything they cook is not how may I say something you would want to eat  :) I have had my thermomix 5 weeks and love it but today has been a nightmare, I have cooked the spreadable cheescake from the best of the communities , ok but not great and then simple fried rice from the Devil of a cook book and gave it to the chooks :) i think I am having end of term meltdown.... Sorry to vent ladies my husband would just look at me and not understand why it upsets me...
I am walking away not and will have another go in the morning.
Thanks again.

That's the idea jodiethom, start afresh tomorrow. We've all had bad days or the occasional recipe that didn't turn out as expected. Maybe do a favorite recipe first thing tomorrow to get your groove back 

We all have days like that...you could always add them to the oops thread.
Take heart and start afresh tomorrow, it's a whole new day.

Oh your poor  thing. Yes we have all had them. Someone  had a chocolate meltdown today and got so help from here. All fixed.

Look here for a recipe as they are often simple, tried , tweaked and used over and over.

Keep it simple. Try a simple risotto. The best of our communities is not the best  as maybe they are not tested well.  Any recipe you see by Tenina  will work every time.

Yup walk away. You will, get lots of help here. Wait and see.

You are not alone there jodiethon, I've read of days like that from other members.  You are doing the right thing, knock off for the day and start afresh when you have calmed down.  It is OK to vent on here, as you say DH's do not understand - we do though. :-* :-*

I have days like that, not just with the TMX. I now find if I have 2 failures it's best to give up for the day. I don't know why it happens but it does. Best of luck for tomorrow.

Yep I have had days like that.
Especially with gaming. I find if things are not working like they should I walk away and do something else. Then usually when I go back to it I have no problems then. :)

I've certainly been there:))
My problem is that I didn't have the good sense to just walk away.
Start afresh tomorrow. All will be well

pack up, clean up, have a coffee, and start again the next day. :D

I find the recipes on here are alot better than some of the books.
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.
