Kimmyh biscuits are like scones and gravy is a white sauce made with the rendered fat from pork breakfast sausage with the sausages added back in. Here is a link to the recipe I use.

Chocolate egg then bacon, egg, hash browns, tomato and sausages.  ;) ;D ;D

Amy it is an American thing, but mostly from the south. I never had it growing up as a kid in New York.  I wasn't exposed to biscuits and gravy until my parents moved to South Carolina.
