Yes it was Amy. I just put them in the TM with the liquid and the oats and a touch of brown sugar. I think a few more strawberries would have made it even better.

porridge for us as well . I think I am saving so much by not buying processed cereals. A back of oats seems to last ages, I don't even bother with the quick oats just use normal rolled oats and whizz for an extra few secs at the end so they are a nice texture.

I'll be trying it next time I have strawberries, minus the sugar ;)

If the strawberries were sweeter I would have left the sugar out too. I reckon you could chop an apple and through in some sultanas or raisins and then add the oats and liquid and cook them.

An upudate for Amy (who asked me to share my porridge)

I've been working on my perfect porridge recipe (well perfect for my tastes anyway) and I start by chopping a an apple in the tmx before adding oats, sultanas, lsa mix. Then in the last 20-30 secs of cooking I add a handful of nuts/seeds and brown sugar/honey. Then I serve it with a dallop of natural/vanilla yoghurt.....think I might need to try it with strawberries now though!

I've had a super busy couple of weeks so haven't had a chance to write anything more specific yet....
I have a Facebook page with all things cooking, you'll find it here: https://www.facebook.com/What-Amber-Ate-1097437023601587/
