Are blueberries expensive up there?

Yes they are Amy.  :(
When the fresh ones are too expensive I buy a large pack of the frozen ones and just defrost enough each time I feel like having them.
If they are on special in the supermarket I buy a few packs as always handy to have for muffins, pancakes etc.

Fresh is always best  ;D

My problem with fresh blueberries is that my little GD 5 and GS 2  love them so a pack is gone in a flash.
I don't mind as I would rather the fruits than lollies but they disappear faster than I can buy them  ;D

Yes, they don't last long do they? ;D ;D
My mum has always said that its better to spend our money on fresh, healthy produce than it is to spend it on take-away food, cigarettes, alcohol or gambling. So I don't mind spending a bit extra on my fruit and vegies :)

Have you tried growing blueberries? I have one blueberry bush, but its really small and doesn't have many berries on it. I would eat them all in one sitting :-))

I haven't ever tried growing them Amy and now we live on a small block of land 15 meters from the ocean so nothing like that would grow. Even the Norfolk pines that were planted by the council all died within months due to salt spray and wind.  :(
I have a herb patch in my drying area and a that's about it.
Used to grow veggies but can't now.
Your mum is right as money spent on good food is not wasted.
Have to confess I enjoy nice wine but don't smoke or gamble   ;D

It's lovely living by the beach Amy especially as we come from Scotland which has some lovely beaches but not the weather to enjoy it.

We go to NZ for our lake and snow capped mountain fix which we miss

What a beautiful diverse world we share  :D

So true! :D
I would love to tour Europe one day, particularly Scotland and Ireland because my ancestors on both sides are from those areas :)

Just be positive about it and you will do it.
Both Scotland and Ireland are beautiful but unfortunately the weather is unpredictable. England is lovely too.
My second eldest GD who is 16 just left last week for Italy. She will be there for a month and is soooo excited and happy.
We have travelled all over Europe  and Italy, France and Greece are my personal favourites. And Switzerland!!!  Better not forget that as one of my SIL's is Swiss  ;D
