LOL - love it!!  I love quail and would like to keep some.  Our two chooks are freeranging but don't think we could let the quail do the same - love the noise they make! :D :D

;D I seem to be after you in the "What is for" posts today, Obbie!

I made pancakes and drizzled with some cherry sauce that I'd made from leftover cherries. Yum!! Just cooked up the pitted cherries with a bit of sugar and added some maple syrup and thickened with cornflour. Dollop of thickened cream really made them.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Girls had apple and blueberry porridge again, DH and I had bacon and egg on toasted english muffins again...THEN, miss6 decided to eat 1/2 of my breakfast (she had finished hers) then asked for another Muffin, so I made her and DH another one each, then Miss3 decided she wanted some too, so I cooked another 1!! Where those girls put all their food I have no idea!!  :)  :-))

Cold porridge? I'd never thought of that before....But if it was chilled in this heat it could be nice I think.

I had another green smoothie...yesterday I pre packaged pineapple pieces and handfulls of blueberries into zip lock bags and put them in the freezer. So today I just put in a banana, some silverbeet leaves and pre-packaged fruit, added some water and it was ready in just two minutes  :)

I'm hoping to make enough of the pre packaged fruit to last me for a few weeks when I start my new job. I've increased from working from two to three days so I need to be more organised!

I'll be trying one of your green smoothies tomorrow. I bought the pineapple today so I'm all set ;D

I like gooey porridge too. I hope you like the green smoothie.....I really like that combination....it  just tastes like a regular smoothie but it happens to be green!
