I generally don't eat breakfast, which is a really bad habit I'm trying to get out of. This morning, and yesterday morning, I finally made porridge in my thermomix - first time since I've had it! Apple, cinnamon and brown sugar, and it's amazing!

Nice one jakodai! :D Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so I always make sure I have something yummy and healthy ;)
Smoothies are good too, if you find it hard to eat that early in the morning :)

That sounds delicious MF, I'm going to have to try that combo :D

I forgot to say a sprinkling of cinnamon as well Amy. It is delicious.
I used low fat carnation evaporated milk as had no A2 milk left and so used what I had.

I love cinnamon MF ;D Did the evaporated milk make it much different in flavour or consistency?

I had Honey Almond All Bran this morning :)

It possibly made it a little bit thicker and creamier in taste Amy. It was really a nice mix of seeds, nuts and fruit.  :)

The eating of breakfast normally isn't the issue, it's the preparing it. Once I've prepared it, I eat it. I just generally put off preparing it until lunch time... lol. DS used to have breakfast at kinder, now I have breakfast with him at home. He stopped eating breakfast at kinder a little while ago, too much excitement I think, so this way I can be sure we're both eating breakfast. It's just a matter of working it into my routine, then I'll be fine.

Has anyone found that Quaker Oats take longer to cook than Uncle Toby's Traditional Oats? I bought a 4.5kg box of Quaker Oats from Costco yesterday ($9.99! Bargain!) but when I cooked them this morning the way I normally do, they weren't quite cooked. I'm scared of overcooking them, though, and ending up with a massive mess to clean up in my thermomix bowl.

It's good that you and your son have that meal together... That's special :)
