Stir fry recipes
« on: July 07, 2012, 09:38:48 am »
I'm interested in some stir fry recipes but there seems to be a lack of them on the forum unless I am not searching correctly.

I have tried the chinese stir fry veges from EDC and we like this but I would like to try some more but don't want to buy books.

Has anybody got any they make in the TMX or is there a favourite you can post here or pm to me?

Hi Tasty :) I have a favourite blend of spices which I use for my stir frys but I never cook them in the TM because it isn't big enough. If you're interested I can give you the mixture I use, and you can experiment in the TM yourself, maybe using the EDC recipe as a guide?

No worries Tasty!! :D

The blend I use is:
1 tsp ground cardomom
1 tsp ground coriander seeds
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp ground cumin
Mix them with about 3 tbsp vinegar and pour over the stir-fry about halfway through cooking (if you're doing it in the TM you could probably just chuck it all in whenever you wanted to). I also like to add a good dose of pepper. Depending on how strong you like your spices, you may want to increase or decrease the amounts you use. We also stir through a couple tbsp of oyster sauce just before serving ;)

If you try it I hope you like it! :D
