I varies according to where you live I think cera.  You ordered it on the 28th June - did the consultant give you an indication of delivery time?  It can't be too far off, give her a ring.

It took them a week to debit my Ccard and another week until I had it in Qld.  My friend ordered hers on the 26th and is hoping for delivery on Friday!!!

After my demo the consultant went to her car and brought my new machine too me.

She knew I made quick decisions.  I was lucky.

I agree! That's awesome that your consultant could do that.

I also think that consultants should be give purchasers an EDC when the purchase to give them a bit of time to look through it and read it properly before their TMX arrives

That's a good idea about handing out a copy of the EDC at the time of ordering, foodiepep.  When my TMX was delivered I simply didn't know what to expect or what to plan for (I didn't know about this forum at that stage).  I also didn't realise that my consultant would cook something with me at the time of delivery, either, it was just sheer good luck that I happened to have the ingredients to hand for a lemon custard!

It may have changed in the last couple of years since my TMX arrived, but I think a bit of "at time of payment" support would be a good idea, i.e., hand out a copy of the EDC, the consultant discusses a couple of options for an initial dish to cook at the time of delivery and, very important, basic stocking of your larder to get you started (that's where the EDC and this forum comes to the fore).

And wouln't it be nice if consultants would tell new customers about this and other web sites  that can help. Here you get pretty much immediate  help and other sites like superkitchenmachine.com and quirky Jo's you get so much helpful information.

The official Thermomix web site is not much help and the recipe community is not easy to navigate  nor are the recipes tested and tweaked like we do.

A consultant can only do so much and he or she is jut one where as we are many. I was lucky to,have found this site well before I bought my Thermomix but funnily enough my consultant  didn't know anything  about it.

Yes, one of the reasons I chose the thermomix is that there is a strong online community which will help me stay on track with getting the most out of my machine :)

Good news my delivery is tomorrow!
