Gert, how is this for brain dead? My DH is mucking around with lawn mowers. He came in this morning laughing. He had changed the engine on one to make it better, except he had taken the bad one off, put it down, gone away to do something else, then put the bad one on again thinking it was the good one.
Nearly as bad as putting the coffee in the fridge. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Love it cookie. Too funny. Ah well. Does it work any better though?

Gert, thank you so much for your help.  I'll try to sort that out tonight or tomorrow morning.

Cookie, give your husband a big hug from me for giving me a big laugh when I read your post.

Got it, Gert, thanks.  I think it needs a bit of refining, but it is working so that is the main thing.  At least I can now enjoy the recipe books.

Good on you. I don't know how you "managed" your kindle without it.  You must be clever with it. If I can' tree it I can't do it so have always used the computer. In fact I downloaded Kindle for my PC before I had an actual Kindle and was reading books there!

I ham reading Delicious by Ruth Reichl a food writer. This is a novel not her usual book and is light and funny sort of Devil Wears Prada ilk.

Will do. At least he laughed about it instead of getting cross. No Gert, it didn't go better!

I have just finished reading my way through Dana Stabenow's Kate Shugak detective series based in Alaska. I got to the dramatic end of the 20th book only to discover that I'll have to wait until 2016 for the next book in the series.  :-[

That is so frustrating when that happens, ES.  I empathise with you!

Thats a disappointingly long wait ES  :-))

I just finished reading 'Stoner' which wasn't too bad. It wasn't a thrilling book, but it was readable and quite an easy read.

I've just started "The Husbands Secret" and I'm not too sure about it from what I've read so far. Think I can guess the plot line.

Bought Liz Byrski's Bad Behaviour on Saturday and hopped into bed to have a good read and realised I had it out from the Library last year and only got some of the way into it and didn't like it even though I have liked some of her other books. Obviously had a very senior moment when I got it this time. Luckily I have a friend who wants to read it.

Reading Bittersweet by Colleen  McCullough which is nice after reading two intense John Puller  novels by David Baldacci.

Disappointing when you do that. Thank goodness whe you buy a book on Kindle from amazon they will tell you if you already bought it. Saved me a couple of times!
