I have just finished reading a haunting and memorable book called Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand and will find it hard to forget this one. It is a story about the amazing life of Louie Zamperini a 1930s American track star and Olympian who met Hitler, a POW in Japan in World War II and his subsequent recovery from the brutality of the POW camps through an initially troubled marriage to his redemption and into his later years. This is not my usual sort of book, but I was totally caught up in it and couldn't put it down until the very end.
