I finished River of Destiny last night. I really enjoyed it. I will be interested to see what the other people at book club have to say about it.
Now to decide what to read next.

I haven't read in a book in at least 3 months. Looking forward to going away on Tuesday and having a read. I have had The Light Between Oceans downloaded for ages. It's been made into a movie already. Hopr it's a good read.

I'm still reading People of the Book. I need to finish it for Tuesday night, I didn't get much read over the Christmas break.

Still haven't started reading The Light Between Oceans. Hopefully with the weekend being a lot of public holidays will be able to get a start. Even when my children were young I used to read at least 2-3 books a week. Seems like the less I have to do, the less I do.

Good to get another recommendation Thermilover. Unfortunately, even though I'm on holiday I still haven't started it.

I finished my book at last and have just started a recent purchase with Christmas vouchers. Outback Cop. It's the story of the Birdsville Cop.

I have just completed reading a book by the Birdsville policeman. He was there for about 10 year. It was a fantastic book as I was able to identify the places he spoke of. While we were in Birdsville I was helped by a lovely lass called Kelly.
The last accident that this policeman attended before he retired was a rollover in which Kelly was killed. Although I knew this had happened I found it extremely emotional.
The book is funny, sad and everything in between.

I really enjoyed Mathew Flinders Cat as well . A book club book awhile ago . Reading Music and freedom at the moment - highly recommend this to anyone who loves piano . In fact this is one book that I would love to have as an Audio book , if they played the music as background !,
