Cookie, that sounds interesting, will follow up.
Mab, love both Garry Disher and lee Child.
I’m finding The Dressmaker interesting but can’t understand why it has been listed for year 12 students for several years. I I hope it wasn’t chosen because of the film.

That’s wonderful Chookie. I’m reading The Bee Keeper of Aleppo for book club. I’m not really enjoying it. It’s the second book about refugees and their conditions we have read in a few months. The conditions are awful and with this Ukraine thing I keep wondering about the conditions DH’s parents had to put up with after the war when they were in refugee camps.
Too vivid an imagination I think.

I have just finished Her by Garry Disher and have another of his on hold at the library.  I think that's the 12th one of his that I have read.

I love his books. I have one here to read, but need to read a few others first. I've just finished one by Joanne Trollop (I think it is). This was the Something or other ladies of St Judes. She has written several similar ones. We had to read one of her books for Book Club this month.

I'm reading Boy Swallows Universe for book club. Each evening when I begin to read I fall asleep. It's not really thrilling me.
I've just finished a fun read from Meredith Appleyard and before that Gary Disher's latest.

This thread has been neglected a bit recently so I thought I would add the book DH is reading and thoroughly enjoying at the moment (going by the chuckles I am hearing), it is A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole.  To be honest I am not totally sure what it is about, but I have never seen DH going through a work of fiction like he has this one.  I bought it for him for Xmas and he has nearly finished it (c. 450 pages in length).

I'm reading Days End by Garry Disher and enjoying it.  I read a couple of his Wyatt series recently and didn't really enjoy them.

I’d be wanting to read that book then Marina, just to see what is tickling his fancy.

Slow Horses by MickHerron. Worth a read if you enjoy Spy/ Thrillers. First in a series. At the beginning , I felt he was searching for a voice but by the end had found it.
