What library did you manage to get iBooks from GHM?  My library has a few but they all have several people waiting or a vampire ones and I don't like those.

Hi Cookie I entered the site through my local library which is a City Of Joondalup one, but the database is the State Library of WA.  There is a wait for many of the books but found a few to take my fancy.  You can borrow up to five items in addition to your usual library limits and you have a choice of 7 14 or 21 days to read them.

Cookie, sorry I can't remember where you are but the Yarra Plenty Library was in a deal with some libraries in Queensland and you could access all the books via the Overdrive app. I used to use it all the time but don't read as much these days. The State library of Victoria also has a similar ebook facility and you can join remotely, it does take a while for them toro sets the application but it might be worth a try. I managed to join but never borrowed anything.

If the libraries are still using overdrive google that and you might find some you can join regardless of where you live.

Thanks GHM and Wonder. I use Overdrive so will have another look. I have literally tons of real books to read and heaps on the ereader. It's still nice to have more choice though. My DH says 'why?'

I have just started Loretta Hill's second book. It is chick lit but I read that sometimes. This is set in the Pilbara. It starts off almost identical to her first book but with a different main character. I was very disappointed. I have just got past page 100 and it has developed a twist so that is good. I am now enjoying it.
Her first book was "The Girl in Steel Capped Boots". This one is called "The Girl in the Hard Hat".

I was gifted that book last year and I loved it. I thought it was delicious.

That's great to hear, Gert.  I have actually put it to one side for now but will go back and make a start on it again at a later date.

Our new book for book club is 'Still Alice ' by Lisa Genova. It is about a woman's trip through Alzheimer's disease.
We had heaps of discussion with 'The Lovely Bones'.
