I am half way through "The House at Salvation Creek" by Susan Duncan.

I Loved that book as I lived in the area aNd know the house well. You must read the follow up as well.

Dan Brown's Inferno. It is pretty good so far. Very similar to The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons. A nice light page turner.

No not home have left Spain and are now at st jean de luz, just over the border, but its raining all day so having a quiet day.  Went out for a bit this morning but now  drinking rose, reading and DH is steaming mussels for dinner.   Eating far too much of that lovely basque cake too!!!!!!

Had a reading hiatus this past week but managed to finish The Storyteller. I was disappointed again by the ending. Sometimes I think that authors can write a riveting plot but at the end they get rushed and it ends rather on a flat note. The question I asked myself iall the way through was... "why would you ask a young person you barely knew to assist you with a plan for killing yourself, especially when you were 90+ years of age? This old man had integrated himself into society and had gained the community's respect so why when you are at the end of a very long life burden a young person with the rest of their life in front of them into assisted suicide? My sister has highly recommended "Americano", so will be starting this in the next day or so. She likes the books that I recommend, but will I like the books that she recommends ... TBA

CP, I reacted the same way to the Storyteller. I was disappointed with a previous book of hers and read this with hesitancy. She writes well but does not think through the plot.

I've finished 'The Preacher' by Camilla Lackberg and have downloaded 'the House of God' because Gert mentioned it in one of her posts and it has me intrigued, so will start that next.

Mind you I have not read it in many years . It may be a book only medical people will enjoy. I remember that it was hilarious, mostly true and irreverent.
