I'm reading Hilary Mantel's follow-up to "Wolf Hall", "Bring up the Bodies" - when I can drag myself away from the computer, that is.  :-))

I've just finished the Tess Gerrtisen and had started my book club book. It is rubbish so I'm not reading it. I started a Stella Rimington that DD was sent to review. I love it when she gets sent books to review. All the more for me to read. :)

Is that The Geneva Trap?

I am reading another freebie which is fun called Ms America and the offing in Oahu. Total crap but entertaining.

Just downloaded a Marian  Keyes for fun and am salivating for the Jack Reacher. Soon.

I am reading the latest Jack Reacher crime novel by Lee Childs, love this series! I just wish he wrote more than one a year.

I have just noticed some chatting about Jack Reacher looking through the thread - yes I can't believe they have given Tom Cruise the role: He is short! JR is a big man and thats part of his charm. I don't know if I will be able to see the movie, I have such a clear picture of the gorgeous Jack Reacher in my head.

Character of Jack Reacher: there is a list on IMBD of better suited actors. I think Hugh Jackman could pull it off, also this guy:

He is 6"2' so nearly tall enough.

I won't be paying good money to see a shortass Tom Cruise play Jack. No way.

I am sure the fifty shades has been mentioned on this thread but just want to add my two bobs worth.  Thought I'd read it to see what all the fuss is about.  In my opinion is is absolute trash, no quality at all and quite distasteful, I am only a third of the way thru and the weird stuff hasn't really happened yet, but I really don't like the fact that one person finds inflicting pain and humiliation on another fun!  I feel so sorry for the girl.  I have three teenage daughters and hope none of them ever date a Christian Grey no matter how rich and charming he may be!!

I wasn't going to read it just because everyone else was but then caved in I started reading it before the retreat and I got as far as page 84
and nothing has happened. I've read racier Mills and Boons than that.

DD I enjoy Karen Slaughter.

Is anyone going to read the new JK Rowling book?  I'm going up to Big W this afternoon to have a buy up. Their book specials today are better than Kobo. I'll get that, Monica McCanerny(?) new book, Paullina Simons and Ken Follett's as well. May put a couple away for DD for Christmas.
