Amanda I am flying from Cairns VIa Sydney to meet up with a friend at the airport and then flying to Adelaide where we will be staying with her mother. My friend is bringing her partner and I am at their mercy. I was trying to meet up with JD as well but I will have to go with the flow. Hopefully there will be an opportunity.

Will PM you my mobile.

DW and I have recently finished Bernard Cornwell's AZINCOURT/AGINCOURT. We have been listening to it in the car while driving over summer. It was unabridged, we downloaded it through ITunes. Thoroughly enjoyed it. We both like Bernard Cornwell's books, particularly the Starbuck series. I have read some of the Sharpe series too, and another of his standalone books; The Gallows Thief.

I have just started reading Animal  People by Charlotte Wood as she is one of the authors  speaking at the up coming writers festival in Adelaide. Why oh why did I not read this before? I am only  just into it and am engrossed.

The ending of that book took my breath away Gert! She's a very good writer.

Yes I did and signed up  but I have not had a chance to follow it up today. It was not quite clear on how to do it.

Just borrowed from the library Left Neglected by Lisa Genova. I enjoyed Still Alice it was very moving and have reserved Love Anthony, they said I would have to be patient as there was a long queue.

I'm seriously considering getting a kindle that conects to the internet. Probably need a few tips and hints as to which one would suit me.

We did have a discussion a while ago which one is best suited.  I have had several and discarded several . My favourite is the one I have now which is wifi only .http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007HCCNJU/ref=fs_sz.
I bought the leather cover with light  and I love it to bits.

I hated the touch and the original was too heavy but my DH loves his.

I have not seen the paper white but I think wonder bought it. It as a touch so did to appeal.

Michele I would  say Still Alice  is one of the most beautiful books I have read. I will be reading her others as soon as I can get my hands on them.

Thanks Gert, will have to do a bit of research on touch etc.

I'm already up to chapter 8 in Left Neglected and it is very good.

Amen!   ;D

I have 116 books on my Kindle, all that I really want to read and not just 'fillers'.   :D

I dare not count mine. I buy from Kobo for my Sony ereader and now you can buy vouchers from Woolworths. It is so easy to pop a voucher into the food shopping and then I run amok with the purchases.
