Hey Everyone,
We have had the thermomix for now a while and to be honest it's been sitting in the cupboard collecting dust, My wife & I are very busy with work/business so I'm looking for fast fresh tasty healthy meals i can whip up quick!! My wife isnt a good cook (lol i hope she doesnt read this) so it's left up to me, actually i love cooking and food but she is fussy so its hard sometimes I just eat whatever she feels like. We have just been blessed with a little girl and we all want to eat and be healthier by not eating takeaway. So here i go
Being a bloke in the kitchen is ok right ?
Cheers
Dan

And congratulations on your baby daughter

Hi Dan. The first rule of thermomixing is to have the machine on the bench. If its in a cupboard it's always too hard to get out.
By the way welcome from another Perthite.

Hi Dan, welcome to the forum. We have another guy on here, Dashingden who does most of the cooking in his house - we love men who cook. Hard to help you out with ideas until we know what you like to eat. Have you had a browse of forum recipes at any time or are you using cookbooks for your recipes? Even if you didn't cook mains in your TMX, it is soup and pudding weather so there has to be something you can find to get you going. Never, repeat never put your Thermomix in a cupboard - it must sit on the bench if it is to be used more often. What have you done in the past in it, did it go down well?
For starters may I suggest you check out
this
list of recipes posted as CP's favourite recipes so far - I can personally vouch for most of those recipes as I have done them too. I'm sure you can find some recipes on there that would suit you both.

Hey Dan. Welcome to the group. I'm another bloke on here who has just got a TM. I've been cooking a few recipes and have had some problems......all fixed by the lovely people you will find here.
I've just cooked corned silverside thanks to JD and her recipe and a mustard sauce courtesy of another member. So get in there put your TM on the bench and get cooking
Cheers

Hi Dan and welcome to the forum. And there is nothing wrong with a man that can cook. Wish my DH could cook
Actually he can cook but just doesn't do it much. And I wouldn't let him near the TM

Hello and welcome and never fear the forum is here.... Day or night all around the globe someone can help.
Hopefully You will have fun cooking new things.
Soups are fabulous and their are so many flavours to choose from.
There is a whole section of all in one meals.
And lots and lots of bread and cakes and cookies plus a whole section for babies and toddlers.
The best thing I find is that instead of thinking what can we have for dinner I can look on here!

Hello and welcome to the forum Dan
And congratulations on your new girl!
Guess by now you have got TM out and dusted off by now - and cooking up a storm. The more you use it the more attached to it you will become.
And BTW - it is definately OK to be a bloke in the kitchen... be proud of it!
