The female lambs become our breeding stock and the male lambs usually just live on the farm and die of old age eventually. Life expectancy of a sheep is 10-12 years (had to google that lol)

Go to your local produce store. They will have lots of advice and products for you.

We sell special lamb teats and bottles, lamb milk and then when weaning, lamb pellets.

Keep the little lamb warm.
Most farmers would put the lamb down, as financially it is not viable to hand rear a lamb. Same with calves.

Well we survived the night with our new boy lamb, he is so sweet  :)
Got him lamb formula and some teats that go on any old water/soft drink/whatever bottle, he loves it! (Thanx 4 the tip about not getting the molasses stuff, dede  :) ) He has the girls in fits of laughter about how fast he can wag his tail!  :D
Bottles, teats, formula....haven't done this for a while!  ;)
:D

That's great Astarra , I'm glad he is doing well. I love when they prance and bounce about when they have full bellies. :)
I'm glad my advice helped. I don't know who makes that stuff with molasses in it but it's horrible stuff, it doesn't mix up very well and smells awful. I will never buy it again that's for sure.
You should have no problem with the lamb now. If he gets the scour (s**ts) bad let me know as I have an old recipe here for lambs somewhere that saved one of our lambs :)

I am guessing lamb will be off the menu in your place Astarra.

I am so glad he is doing well.
