It is very very very very sore, have an appt with the surgeon Wednesday, going to request an amputation. DH managed to drop the hose end of our new dishwasher yesterday, and like a magnetic pole, it landed on my toe, dropped me to the ground in a screaming quivering mess. I have been battling this toe in excess of 2 years, I think it has had enough time to prove itself. I was walking 8 - 10 km a day, and competed in a half mara walk before it got so bad, now I am hobbling after a 2 km stroll.

Oh Fruity hope you get something sorted nothing is more frustrating that not being active when you are so used to it

It does sound like amputation may be your best option.   Will it effect your balance or anything?

No, as it is the 2nd toe, only the big toe affects balance.

Thinking I should host a toe off party, for everyone boots and all to toe the line, get their foot in the door and kick things off!
