Astara both would be great. I want to make a variety of easy grab food for when she is hungry but doesnt want too much. My quiches dont work in the pie maker, my top puffs up & sticks.

Hally, mine are very simple but get eaten straight away so don't know how they would freeze. I chop up a large quantity of bacon which I fry off in the frying pan and then place into the bottom of the pies and jut a crack an egg into each base before adding some salt and pepper and a sprinkling of grated tastey cheese before putting the lid on. I cook for the normal amount of time and the cheese melts and the egg is fairly firm with just the very centre of the yolks being a little soft. I think Obbie makes a lot of egg and bacon pies and freezes them so she may have a different recipe.

H - if you put a piece of baking paper over the quiches before shutting the lid and cooking they should work well for you - has always worked that way for me.  :)  Mini quiches are also good freezer food, can't remember if you have a mini pie maker of not...?  I just do bacon, egg, milk/cream and chesses (bit of S&P too) til mix looks right...the recipe in the instruction book is nice too. Hope that helps.  :)

I tried DD's version of egg and bacon pie which is similar to yours Robyn except she puts the grated cheese in first, top with cooked diced bacon pieces then an egg.  I love them cold even more than hot but have not frozen them before.  They are different to little quiches or pies made with beaten egg but someone is bound to know how they freeze Hally.

How to Freeze Bacon & Egg Pie Photo Credit Jupiterimages/Photos.com/Getty Images

Bacon and egg pie, a type of quiche, is made with a variety of ingredients. Some have a pastry crust, while others are made without one. Fortunately, all varieties of bacon and egg pies are freezable regardless of the ingredients used. Freezing the pie means you can pull it out of the freezer any time for a quick, convenient meal.
Step 1

Wait for the pie to cool completely. Set it on the counter or place in the refrigerator for quicker cooling.
Step 2

Wrap the pie tightly in a piece of plastic wrap.
Step 3

Place the wrapped pie in a resealable freezer bag. Seal the bag tightly, squeezing out any excess air while you close the bag.
Step 4

Place the pie in the freezer.
Tips and Warnings

To reheat the pie, place it in the oven directly from the freezer. This will help crisp the crust so it isn't soggy. Make smaller, individual pies for freezing. You can also freeze the pie unbaked. When baking a frozen, uncooked pie, increase the cooking time by about 10 to 20 minutes. Baked pies store for about two months and unbaked pies last about one month in the freezer.

This gets me inspire to experiment more with my piemakers.  I usually do left overs.
For these bacon and pies .. do you put pastry on the bottom?

Yes Kayc, it is just a normal pie and has a top and a bottom.

Will be making some of these Bacon & Egg pies this week, after reading all about them.  I have a pie maker and have always made the meat pie from the SFI magazine which my husband loves, but this will be a nice change.

We have the bacon and egg pies on a weekend sometimes, very quick to make and eat all up only about 15 minutes if you time taking the pastry out of the freezer (if using bought) to thaw while frying the bacon.

I make egg and bacon pie regularly for DH, I personally don't like it myself.
Once years ago when I was making one, my friend was visiting at the time and put green food coloring in the egg mix :o . The whole pie looked moldy and disgusting, but didn't stop DH from eating it lol :D
