Mich I am so sorry to hear about Harry Hound, it was evident how much you loved his company every time you spoke about him. 😥
We finally adopted a dog into our family - a beautiful black former racing greyhound named Pepper. She has settled in beautifully and is a much loved part of our family now. She is so wonderful with the kids.

Pepper looks very content
. What a lovely looking dog
Billy is now 6 months old and loves her (actually mine) corn
Just recently she has started laughing, when I laugh she laughs which makes me laugh, then makes her laugh again. Very cute

Billy is so cute Dede.
Wonderful news Snappy! Pepper looks like a lovely dog. Greyhounds have the best temperament and ex-racing adopted greyhounds make great pets (I know, as we have one!). Enjoy the addition to your family.

Pepper is gorgeous snappy. I think adopting a retired racing greyhound is a fantastic idea. I think that's what we will do too when the time comes.
Love your birds crazy bird lady!

Thanks everyone. Pepper is perfect for us - house trained, walks beautifully on the lead, does not approach the kids when they are eating and most importantly adores the boys. We are so lucky to get such a wonderful and easy dog.

Pepper is just like Katie's dog (only a different colour) - always sleeping and looking so comfortable
Lovely birds Mandi, I'm a bird lover.

Sorry to read this McMich, how sad. We are still sad we lost our animals due to loss of job and home. We think we're ok then something triggers the loss all over again.
Will you consider another?
Lovely birds!

Not a very good day today. My husbands dog fell off the back of his work ute on his way to work and shattered her leg
.
Looks like she may need it amputated, and as she will no longer be any good as a sheep dog we may need to have her put down
.
Although the breeder had put her hand up to take her back (and pay for medical costs) and use her as a breeder as she's a pure breed stud kelpie.
Will find out more when DH comes home.
