We have to do the best for our pets and this was the right decision Mandi, such a shame though.

So sad, but you know in your heart of hearts that it was the best for your puppy. :'(

I went and picked up Trixy from the vets yesterday, she is now buried along side
Dozer the cat (died of old age),
Molly (DHs kelpie who was ran over :( ),
Cookie my cockatiel,
Megan my Brittany spaniel (died of old age)
A moth that DS found dead and decided to bury :)
And a new born pup who was still born.

We are running out of room under the old wattle tree.

Have some new residents who just moved in today... And I mean "in".. as they need to be kept indoors for quite a while yet. Love the way they all go to sleep on top of each other...! Fingers crossed that there are no or just one or two males!! They were hatched at a preschool about 1.5 weeks ago in one of those programs where the children can observe the hatching in a special incubator.

My only concern is that they haven't been vaccinated. They're in a pretty protected environment here... But if anyone has any experience/advice along these lines I'd certainly appreciate it..:)

You have your hands full there GF. :).
They pretty easy to care for though, clean water fresh food and clean bedding. Also if you can give them some time outside on grass they love picking and scratching. :)

Hey guys, sorry i was away for so long...  I have been busy starting up the first BNI network group in belgium. I just wanted to share some pictures of our prince, Luka Prankster of Tiroca ...  his pics as a puppy were the first ever published in this thread, in august 2012.. Just as a reminder.. Here is two pics... One when he came to live with us, and one age10 months(minus one day lol)...  He really is turning in to a beautiful dog, i think, and a giant also..  Not fully grown he already weighs over 43 kilo and he is about 3 inches taller then most golden retrievers i saw the last few months..  He is gentle, cudly and very very patient.  Have to love him!
