I just love animals, we have also had blue tongue lizards, skinks and mountain dragons, a wombat, wallabies, calves, pigs, horses and 2 wild ducklings that were given to me to take care of.
I would love to become a wild life carer to take care of injured and orphaned native animals . But I draw the line at snakes, mice and rats :o

At our old house at Fingal (Tas) we shared our back yard with mountain dragons. They are mainly found on the east coast of Tassie.

We would catch them in summer and let them go in autumn each year. I had the job of catching their food everyday, they loved crickets.

Oh CC your spaniel reminds me of my spaniel that I had to have put down last year. Was such a hard decision to make. I felt so bad for a long time. But she was old and was loosing movement in her back legs. She also was deaf and had lumps on her belly that most likely were cancer. I didn't want her suffering so made the decision to have her put down :(

Ah they are all so cute! It's great to see so much variety of pets, could there be someone with a pet snake or tarantula I wonder? I have a question for the greyhounds owners. I heard opposite things about them: one is that they need a lot of excercise and space in the garden to run and another that they are couch potatoes. Which one is it?

Haha. I have had pet rats, which I loved so much. Not going to post here - i don t think they will garner much love and that would be sad for me, they do not have good PR :( I will say for the record that they are the loveliest  and most loving pets I have ever had.  I want more but I'm recovering from the pain of my loss. They don't live long lives and they can be susceptible to so much.  have enjoyed all the lovely pet photos in this thread.
