I love all the pics in here, hard to comment since most of the time i see lots of the posts hours or days later..
Luka still needs to grow big time, but at his 5.5 months he is almost the size of the regular golden retriever. I sure hope he grows a bit bigger though... I do not now for xmas, because we are working on xmas eve and xmas day (well actually also on dec 31th and jan 1st) but we have our annual celebration on new years eve, when i cook from scratch a 5 corse dinner for 7. Can't wait to get started. Lol at least with the thermomix the sorbet and icecream is easy peasy.
So far the menu may be as follows:
Appetizers : zuckini roll filled with a home made gravad lax mousse, a seared scallop with oven dried ganda ham (belgian ham, cured with seasalt only), parsnip chips
Starter: chicken pie
Soup: pumpkin spiced soup with garlic and curry fried scampi
Main : pork ham steak, marinated in red wine and pine branches, garlic and herbs, with crockatoes ( my version of potato corquettes), involving parboiled potato wedges, egged and breadcrumbed and then deepfried) , and a selection of seasonal veggies (or brussels andives in 3 different ways)
Desert: homemade icecream with home made advocaat (kind of egg nog made with 96° alcohol instrad of cooking the eggs) , home made praline filled with the tmx sweet chili sauce abd some cookie yet to develop.
Sorbet may be also added before the main, granny smith and calvados sorbet to clean the pallet and lighten e clouded spirits haha!
Starting to get excited.. Inwill have a lot to do all evenings before new years eve, since we are working 3 weeks 7/7 here from now.
Hpe you all enjoy your dinners and please post your menus, maybe we can exchange some ideas!
Love.

Aston loves to cuddle in a blankie and insists on having his own and he never chews them, although he does sometimes pull them off "his" loveseat and takes them into his bed - he doesn't sleep in his bed, just uses it to store his toys.
This new blankie got the "treatment" as he pulled it onto the floor and rolled in it, on his back with all four feet in the air. When he was satisfied that it had been "broken in" sufficiently, he was happy to have me put it back on the loveseat and he settled in for a nap.
Naturally, he is a very spoiled boy.
