He always looks serious! Lol. We built the kitchen color scheme around his coat and nose lol.. Black and cream. So he knows he has a huge respinsability.. Guarding the food he wants to steal.. In fct our first golden retriever was named HERMES, god of thieves and messenger from the gods

Thanks KatieJ. I think they could be good pets for us, especially with regards to allergies we have in the family (bith DH and DD have asthma). Stef, I know the problem with Greyhounds abuse, here in Ireland, they do lots of greyhound racing and I heard of terrible stories about what happens to them when they're too old to race. I'll get in touch with animal shelters to find out more about them...

Hey everyone! Haven't been here in ages, but I have read the last few pages and I read that Dede lost her kitty Dozer, RIP! I've seen beautiful birds, a cute rats and that Luka has grown a lot!
Remember I was looking to adopt a greyhound? We've just adopted a whippet (small greyhound) and I couldn't resist posting his picture. His name is Smokey, he's 6 and was given up by his previous owner who didn't really care about him much. I picked him up from his foster home today and he's a real gentle creature, so placid and eager to please. A dream of a dog. I now hope that DH doesn't develop an allergy to him...
An apple a day keeps the doctor away... provided you aim correctly.

Smokey is gorgeous and looks very comfy there next to the fire - lucky boy to be given the chance at a better life which is what all animals deserve.

Luka always looks so serious Stef - have you got a photo of him when he is excited about something eg going for a walk or doing another of his favourite things?
