Delicious, tangy and oh-so-satisfying Assam Laksa for lunch. Best street food in my hometown, Penang :P

Thanks, Suzanne. GF, I made it using a premade paste and adjusted the taste to my liking. But I'm sure I will be a legend amongst my Laksa-loving friends if I were to make the paste in the TMX. Hehehe.

Fish cakes that fell to bits.  No wonder,  I made them from left over mushroom risotto, mashed pots,  white sauce and a tin of red salmon.  I have since beaten in 3 eggs and am making a giant fish cake in an over dish.  We will see how it goes.  The chooks are looking hungry.  ;D

Had a change of plans and went to The Mary Ellen for lunch, the girls at work talk about it all the time and I have never been there. A nice pub, the fire was going. I had Thai beef salad which was just lovely and DH had the fisherman's basket.

Fried some Penang Char Koay Teow (literal translation: fried rice noodles) for lunch today. A very popular street food in Malaysia, especially the version from Penang.
