Thanks.

Montoya, maybe this posting on Quirky Jo's blog may help.

I've never cooked blackbeans, but I suspect they would be like red kidney beans.  I would tend to use a pressure cooker if you have got one.  As with all beans, make sure you rinse them and rinse them and rinse them again.  Then, when they are cooked, you will enjoy them without any 'windy' consequences.

Unfortunately I don't have a pressure cooker, Cuilidh, but will definitely rinse them a number of times. ;)

I want to try this http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2012/09/06/no-flour-black-bean-brownies/

I have made some non TM black bean brownies. They were good. I took them to work and did not tell anyone that they were made from beans until after they tried them. They were a hit.

I am in the middle of making Quirky Jo's dish now. Thanks everyone for the cornbread recipes but I don't have all the ingredients so I may just revert back to isis' portuguese rolls. The black bean brownies look so good too. :D

let us know how the dish goes montoya as we bought some black beans yesterday to make that recipe. We went to Weigh n Pay in Woodvale (WA) and it was utopia.
