members' commentsKerrynN - I have these in the oven now but I have way too much apple. Not sure what I have done wrong? The diameter of my cakes are approx 7cm. On the plus side there is enough apple left to make a family sized pie with some ready made puff pastry.
I ate one for lunch today it was fantastic! Just as I remember them being from when i was a kid. I wish I had just made extra cake dough so I had more. I can't imagine the puff pastry apple pie being nearly as good. I do now see the value of having commercial icing sugar in the pantry though. My icing, made with home ground icing sugar from raw sugar wasn't a nice color.
Zada - Depends how big your apples are? I should have written smaller apples, mine were quite small...sorry! Recipe has been amended.
