Oooh - great thread I love quotes!

Here are some of my faves:

Did anyone ever tell you that you matter? Did anyone every let you know how much of a difference you make?Did you know that even your smile can really brighten someone's day? It's not so much your accomplishments that make you great, It's the fact that you reach out from your heart. Every time you do, you are revealing your greatness,And you are helping to make our world a much better place.Thank you!

Life is DIY

The only constant is change

It isn't about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!

Today is the youngest i'll ever be, better start appreciating it. It’s also the oldest I've ever been, better start acting like it

I've seen some crackers by "Mrs Brown" (from Mrs Brown's Boys) but not too sure if I can put them on here.
She (?) makes me laugh  ;D

Love that second one especially RosieB :)

I read this today: "When you're having dinner with your kids and your husband and someone says something funny or you're dying laughing because your three-year-old made a fart joke, it doesn't matter what else is going on. That is real happiness." ;D ;D

I'm adding DH's favourite saying: When ever the children say "I wish that  blah blah blah" he always says - if you want it that badly you are going to have to loose the wish bone and get some back bone.  :D

Words of Wisdom ... or not??
« Reply #116 on: June 10, 2014, 07:18:27 am »
Some of you may recall that there was a thread on here a year or two ago listing everyone's favourite sayings.  Unfortunately I cannot find that thread to add to it because I read a couple of Ricky Gervais' today (they were actually tweets - but at tweet is as good as a saying in my book) which I thought some of you might enjoy.  Hope no one is offended by any of them, that is not my intention - this is just for fun.

Anyway, here they are, hope you get a laugh out of them.

"I agree with Justin Bieber. Anne Frank would’ve loved his stuff. It’s perfect for being played really really quietly so no one can hear it.”

“When you are dead, you do not know you are dead. It’s only painful & difficult for others. The same applies when you are stupid.”

“Everyone has the right to hold whatever beliefs they want. And everyone else has the right to find those beliefs [CENSORED] ridiculous.”

“Your God is the best God. In fact, he’s the only God. All other Gods are ridiculous, made up rubbish. Not yours though. Yours is real.”

- “Just because you’re offended, doesn’t mean you’re right. Some people are offended by mixed marriage, gay people, atheism. So what? [CENSORED]”

- “Same sex marriage isn’t gay privilege, it’s equal rights. Privilege would be something like gay people not paying taxes. Like churches don’t.”

Here's the thread you were looking for Marina  ;D

I guess I should merge the 2?  Done!

No-one gets offended in this house with anything on that list, I concur with CP's comments.

Thanks Judy.  I searched for favourite sayings ... I was nearly right, but not quite right enough to find what I was looking for.
