For 320-400gr spaghetti:20g parsley leaves
1 clove of garlic
40g extra virgin olive oil
4 anchovy fillets
400g diced canned tomatoes
1 can of tuna, drained, broken into pieces
(1 can = 160g gross, drained amount is approx 100-110g )
Salt
Preparation: Chop parsley for 5 seconds on Speed 7 and set aside.
Chop garlic for 3 seconds on Speed 7. Scrape down the sides of TM Bowl with spatula.
Add oil and anchovies. Cook for 3 minutes at 100°C on Speed 2-3.
Add tomatoes. Cook for 10 minutes at 100°C on Speed 1 with MC lid in an inclined position.
Add tuna, parsley and salt. (If you wish you can keep some of parsley aside to decorate the plates later) Cook for 3 minutes ate 100°C on Speed 1.
Transfer into a pan. Toss boiled-drained spaghetti with the sauce. Serve into plates. Sprinkle with parsley.
Enjoy...
Adapted with a few changes from the recipe titled as "Sugo al Tonno" in "Io e il mio Bimby"Photos: http://thermomixtarifdefterim.blogspot.it/2010/01/spaghetti-with-tuna-sauce.htmlMembers' commentsKiki J - Thanks for the recipe, farfallina. My husband and the kids really liked it - will be making it again for sure!
Gilo Kez - This was a massive hit last night. I am such a big fan of your recipes. Thank you so so much:)
RosieB - Tried this tonight, with a variation. I am avoiding tomato due to arthritis. So instead of the tin of tomatoes I used a package of "Velish, Roast sweet potato with honey and red lentil " soup. The result was very nice and DH even commented that he liked it a lot. I am sure it lacked the tang tomatoes give, but it was a lovely combination. I am going to try the FAILSAFE Mock Tomato Sauce. Sounds great.
