Hi Everyone - another thermomix newbie!
« on: October 04, 2012, 01:31:34 am »
Hello, I'm Jasmine and I'm from Perth and I've finally bought myself a Thermomix ...12 years after I first saw them demonstrated!!

How'd I resist it so long, right?!

Well, I have a family of five and I'm sick of all the rubbish out there labelled as "food" and decided it was something I could change.

So, I finally convinced my husband that it wouldn't be what he likes to call a "Kitchen Bench-Top Ornament" AKA dust collector
Actually truth be told I just told him I was getting one....and it's proven its worth already!!

So my aim is to build up a library of healthy meals which use alot more legumes and a large range of vegetables and some healthy but kid friendly treats...which cut down on sugar and refined flours but still satisfies my children sweet teeth!!

I'm really looking forward to getting to know my Thermomix better and hope I can use it to it's full potential...with a bit more practice!

Nice to say hello to you all....and I'm sure I will be pilfering all your recipes from you soon!!

Jasmine

How old are your children? If they are young, the babies and kids section has some good ideas in it....oh, actually they are nice even for older people!  ;D ;)
12 years is a long time to resist! Wow!!
Any way you need help let the forum know - someone will be able to help, I'm sure!
Look forward to hearing more from you!

Hi Jasmine, welcome to the forum. That's such a long time to wait for something you want but you are now in control of what your children eat so that makes this appliance one powerful weapon appliance.  Enjoy our recipes and in time, perhaps you can add some of your conversions to the forum as well.
