Today we went up to the National Motor Museum at Birdwood. DH really enjoyed it and I did too. As I said on a previous post I didn't realise that it was round 54km each way. Still it was fun.
I loved some of the old cars and lots of the not so old ones brought back memories for me.
A model A of course, like our 3.
I just loved it, couldn't help myself.
I'm fond of Porsche 911 too.
. On the way back DH spotted a koala in a tree. It is the first time we have ever seen one in the 'wild'. We walked back down the road to take a photo, it was freezing. I hope you can see him. (hint-he's on the right).

Sounds like you had a wonderful day cookie!

We have a koala that often "lives" in the gumtree along our driveway - it makes a terrible grunting noise at night  :D :D :D  When I first moved in here with my DH, I thought it was him in the toilet with a tummy ache  :o

Karen I know the sound they make. We heard them in the Pilago Forrest some years ago. We thought we were being invaded by monsters.

Wow CP - you are very observant - and have a very good memory!

It was absolutely wonderful to get together with some of the other forum members, and has already been said several times, we instantly just seemed to get on like old friends.  And it was so great to get to meet cookie and her DH in person - such wonderful people and such fun to be around!

And OMG - how good was the food everyone brought to share  8)

Thank you everyone for a really great day.
