Hello All
i have been a member since I got my Thermomix, (the beast as my husband calls it).
I pop in every day, but have not posted anything until now, a little shy (not normal for me), however just a little unsure of the internet in general.
i have not used my machine as much as i would have liked and or should, but life gets in the way.
i have started using it since my husbands b/d party that i had to cook for 35 people, i made good use of the beast, and it worked very hard all day, while I was doing other things.
it certainly opened my eyes as to the time saving recipes that i can make, I just have to get my husband to not dislike (the $2000 anchor) as much.
I had my varoma demo last weekend, at it was a blast, my DH actually ate 2 of the lemon coconut puddings and said they were edible, for him that is a GREAT compliment.
i have been following most of the threads through the forum and would like to applaud all who contribute as it can be hard work.
i have found, though that there are not a lot of English speaking videos to watch, i have scoured the internet to find them so anyone who has made one congrats, and keep them coming especially for people like me who are a little daunted by the machine.

Welcome to the forum 50PALL. There are loads of recipes on the forum that will have the beast doing a regular workout everyday.
Don't be shy, we all started where you are at some stage. I had never been on a forum before this one and have learned to navigate my way around now.
Have you watched Tenina Holders youtube videos - there are 2 out there.
Good luck with it all and hope to see you posting soon.

Thank you all for responding, it is quite exciting to see responses from the blogosphere, knowing that someone is out there and we are not on our own.

A big welcome to the forum from a Perthite, who is travelling in SA at the moment. Please try lots of our recipes and ask about anything at all. We can't have your husband calling it a $2000 anchor. That is the sort of thing my DH would say. Love the boat too.

Hi 50plus, welcome to the forum. Maybe DH's birthday party was the turning point and now you have introduced yourself on the forum, there will be no looking back. You do have to prove to DH that this machine is worth all that money.

hi 50plus and welcome. Most new members lurk for a bit before posting, but one you start posting you won't stop! You will get so much help here. My DH is also anti TMX, not sure why! I am still hoping that I will win him over one day! My DH refers to mine as " that thing" I usually have the last laugh to myself as when he cooks he has multiple pots and pans out and far more mess than TMX. what sort of things did you cook for you DH birthday?
