I know of a young professional girl who has had a TMX for some years and only makes cocktails and things in it. My DD asked me to give her some recipes from the forum and I hear that she has actually used it for cooking now.
I think that if you buy one, and make yourself use it as other forum members have suggested, you will love it and be very happy.
It will be wonderful to come home from work, grab a casserole from the freezer, put some veggies in the varoma and sit back with a drink and some savoury biscuits you have made in the tmx while dinner prepares itself. Then a lovely icecream you have whipped up in the thermothingy for dessert.

Cooke, you have me ;D i need one now, lol

Seriously, what a great time saver for a single person, plus lovely meals & minimum washing up. When i lived on my own I ddnt like cooking everynight. I used to make meals the hard way & freeze.

Princessbek, I agree with what everyone else on here has said (which is pretty obvious because we are all here 'cos we love out thermomix's)

Yes, it is a huge outlay, but if you can afford it, I honestly think that you will not regret it at all...it is so quick and easy to prepare great meals, snacks, drinks, dips...you name it...it can do it!

Also, just another thought, if you work long hours, then all the better to have a TMX that can make, say a risotto, in just 20 mins! you can have yummy food in your tummy not long after you get home! Not to mention some of the desserts you can whip us in a flash!  ;D

Go for it I say!  ;)

Most members have talked about food.  i would like you to think about other things like washing machine powder and dish washing machine powder,  I no longer pay $9 for the Finish Liquid that I used,  now it cost me $1.50 to do the same number of washes.  Similar result with the washing machine.  Also,  we are on bottle gas.  I now order a bottle every 12 weeks,  instead of every 8 weeks.  I turn ordinary sugar into caster for cooking,  great saving.  If you can possibly afford it , buy it.  You will save in the long run.

Hello Princessbek - Welcome to the forum.  :D
Once you have a TM you will wonder how you got on without it.  :) We all love our thermos here, so you have come to the right place to get talked into it!!
I can't say much about the cooking for 1 thing, I cook for 5 daily.... :)
:D
