I really like a lot of the UK recipes too CP.  The first time I flicked through my books I didn't think much of them (not too our tastes), but on closer inspection there were lot's of recipes that I was eager to try.  I must say that I haven't worried about the spoon measurements and I don't think it has affected my cooking at all.

okay its 2wks and i head back to the uk
i can bring back a few books if anyone is interested, but probably only 4 or 5 (not sure how heavy or thick?) as I plan on doing a lot of shopping!!!! ha ha ha
