I think it interesting that it took Mandi only 9 days to realise how bad cigarette smoke smells to non smokers.
I have said it before that I have no moral objection to smokers at all I just can't stand to be anywhere near them as they make me sneeze and gag.
When my friend sold her car she had to have it professionally detailed and steam cleaned on the inside and it still stank. She finally sold it to a smoker who thought it was fine. YUK! Thank goodness she never smoked in the house. She probably would have had to get it totally repainted. As it was she did buy a new mattress , pillows and replaced a few things that retained the smell. She was mortified when she realised how bad it was. She kept asking me to sniff stuff. Kinda funny and sad really.

Gert I love reading your posts. You should write a book, I love the detail in the way you write, I can picture exactly what the old lady looks like in my head.
I promise I will never ever smoke again

Thats a shame Mandi
Maybe your friend doesn't have the same support that you do from you family and all of us
You will keep going though, we know you will

I have every intention to keep going. I feel good and I'm not finding it to hard so I would be stupid to start again now

Great work Dede, keep going! It's great that you can feel the effects now, hopefully it will continue to be a great deterrent for you

Excellent dede, you are doing so well. Your friend can start again - probably feels bad about lighting up but it doesn't matter - start again - tomorrows another day.

Today I noticed the whites of my eyes are really white
, normally they were off white and blood shot. I guess the poisons in my body are disappearing.
And my skin is looking better, the dark lines under my eyes don't look so dark. Could all of this be because I stopped smoking? Wow. I should of done it years ago.
Oh and I can breathe deeply
