Blimey, I just realised what the time must be over there
Aren't you tired MF?
My mum will probably say yes if I am good and pay for it myself

My sleep pattern is wonky Amy.
Good thing is I can wake up really early or sleep in if necessary
Can't do that at home so enjoying it here.
Always up very early at home.

Thanks JD yes she is happy and very relaxed which is good to see. She is enjoying the change of scenery and much more cheerful.
Haven't used the exercise thing in the bedroom as I rather enjoy the view from my bed LOL
Hope your mum has a wonderful birthday. What a great age

Lovely photos MF. There doesn't seem to be heaps of people around.

Looks so beautiful MF. I am trying to arrange a holiday to South Island in late Jan with myself DH and two of DD's. not long after I migrated to Oz I spent six months in NZ and absolutely loved it, but at was a long time ago!! I am looking forward to going back. I was thinking we would do both islands in the two weeks but I think now we will just do the South Island rather than rush from place to place.

I think that's a wise move GHM as it would be very rushed trying to do both in 2 weeks.
You wouldn't really have time to relax and enjoy each place.
It's good that you spent 6 months here as you will know the best places to visit.
Cookie it's actually very busy here. I think the mall looked quiet as there were loads of people sitting outside in the grassy area and bars on the waterfront as it was warm yesterday afternoons. Girls in bikinis sunbathing and lots of people splashing around in the lake.

It is a lovely spot Marie and looks different everyday depending on the weather. Bright sunshine and clear blue skies and another brushing of snow on top of the mountains now. Must have been cold during the night. It usually melts on the mountains that I see from my windows but doesn't melt on some of the others. No idea why

Had a lovely day today. We drove to Arrowtown and had a nice light lunch and mum picked up a few souvenirs as gifts. Had a drive around the surrounding countryside and then home to get ready for our evening outing on the TSS Earnslaw which is an old steam ship that has been on Lake Wakatipu for 100 years. Nowadays it takes tourists up and across the lake to Walter Peak Homestead for different activities.
We had a buffet dinner there tonight and now I can barely move as I ate way too much.
