Hi,

How can I remove the 'envelop' which shows my mailadress when I post a message? It is on the left side, below my name. I have searched the forum and I can not find it. I have put a mark on the option not to show my mailadres to the public, but doesnot help.

Good question caatjeh.

Mine is supposed to be hidden too but is not. Anyway I have several email addresses for different things hoping never the twain shall meet!

Try this. Go to profile, account settings , tick hide email, put your password then click change profile. If that does not work try logging out then in again. Also log out then in again and see if changes have been made.

If you do as Gert said Caatjeh, it will still be visible to you when you check your profile but it won't be seen by anyone else. Just make sure you have ticked 'hide email' and then 'change profile' at the bottom of the page. After you do it, let us know and we can check again for you to see if it has disappeared on what we see when we go into your profile.

I am confused...I've ticked the box expecting the envelope to disappear and it hasn't. On this page I can see Gert doesn't have the envelope but Caatjeh does. I've followed the instructions including entering my password and logged in and out...still no change. Help!

Caatjeh, I can see yours so you might want to check your settings again.

Thanks VieveMS - that's reassuring. It's odd that I can still see the envelope on the left of my post but you can't. Does that mean then that everyone will see an envelope on their own posts but others can't? I can't see an envelope on yours or Judy's posts.

Never noticed the envelope before

Wonder what the point of that is, if you click on it, it opens so you can send an email - who would want to email themselves

Perhaps if we see someone's envelope we could pm them and tell them. I always worry that I can see mine, but hopefully you can't.
