Sugar and Spice and all things nice - Merry Christmas
« on: December 11, 2012, 10:11:21 am »
A lovely mix that smells wonderfull.  Used vanilla essence and glace ginger which made more of a dry paste (I know very naughty). Will use vanilla pod and crystal ginger next time to achieve more of a powder mix.

As long as it tastes nice. How do you think this would go sprinkled on plain shortbread?

I just made this tonight and smells delicious!  I think it work well as a sugar to roll the shortbreads in like in Tenina's book.

I've used this to make the gingerbread shortbread (which is less gingerbread and more Christmas shortbread) which taste so yummy!

I'm going to try some in my tea as a type of Chai tea!

Please be careful with the tonka beans . . . must be treated with a lot of respect and care . . .

Thanks GF. I left the tonka bean out as I didn't have any. Glad I did now.
