« on: June 13, 2009, 08:01:23 pm »
Name of Recipe: Chocolate Granita
Number of People:
Ingredients:
250 sugar
70g excellent cocoa powder
100g milk
800g ice cubes

Preparation:

Put sugar and cocoa in bowl.  Powder for 30 secs at speed 10

Add 100g (1 MC) of milk.  20 seconds, speed 10

Add 800 g ice cubes.  1 minute beginning at speed 5, and gradually increasing to 10.  Use spatula throughout.

Photos:

Tips/Hints:  We just had this for dessert, and it was lovely.  Very refreshing and delicious.  I'm going to take the leftovers and process to a smoother consistency with double cream, then freeze in a shallow container to recycle as chocolate ice cream.  I got the recipe from Felicity Raines - thanks, Felicity!

As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!
