Aagghhh packing up half my kitchen to take away
« on: December 20, 2012, 11:57:50 pm »
The problem with these timeshare. Its, they never have enough platters, dishes etc, sharp  knives etc. i have 2 very large boxes packed which is crazy.

Please can someone tell me the essentials. I am a big over packer >:(

Its ok going down, dh car is full & mine will be too.  Coming home we have eb & his luggage, so cant fill my car.

Of course thermie is coming, but do I really need to take 2nd bowl.

 :)

Take Thermie,  a good knife , and some plastic throw away plates, have a holiday.  It's amazing what you can do without, hope you have a great time.

At least you know what to expect Hally. I've booked a house for a week and all I've got to go on is a few pics on a website, no idea what will be provided. Still undecided as to whether to take thermie or not, I don't really plan to do much cooking. I'll definitely be taking a good knife or 2, chopping board, maybe a decent frypan and something to make coffee in, probably just a plunger. If they don't have enough plates I'll probably get paper ones - save on washing up!

Just take what AB says, and a small lasagne dish and your fave spatula and TM mat. They have shops in Mandurah so if you really need something you can buy it, but you'll probably find you can live without for 2 wks. Have a lovely relaxing holiday H.

Hally take everyone's advice and make it a holiday. You will manage.  You defintiely DON'T need the 2nd bowl..
If you could squish it into one car it is more fun as the adventure is the driving there as well.
When you come home, taek note of things you didn't use or hardly used and never take them again.
Have a lovely holiday and drive safely.

Hally, take only take a quarter  of what you think you may need, as everyone has said your are on HOLIDAY ;D
My mum has a list of things she always takes away. I think the essentials are a large chopping board, a spatula, long handled tongs for the Bbq and two sharp knives. You have your thermie and are planning to BBQ so you won't need much else. Maybe glad wrap, foil and some resealable plastic bags.
Oh, and enjoy yourself ;D
