Relish question
« on: December 21, 2012, 03:53:42 am »
I have made 3 batches of relish yesterday and have another 3 to go to use up the tomatoes.
DH would like a relish with a bit of a bite and thought I would use some chilli paste, my question is how much would I use to make a mild hot relish with 1 kg of tomatoes? Do you think a Tablespoon? More or less

Dede I don't really know, depends on how hot the paste is a tablespoon would kill me.  Do you like it but a teaspoon at a time in until you think it is ok.

Just mix the too-hot version with the not-so-hot version Mandi and you might end up with a just-right version  ;)

I would add half and the get DH to taste it.  Add the rest if he thinks it isn't hot enough.
