Red & Green Shortbread

I made this today following the recipe and when I went to cut it, it just crumbles?  Can anyone suggest what I did wrong?

I don't know what recipe you used but sounds like maybe not enough butter? Perhaps you should have cut it before baking.

I find it easier and more uniform to roll the dough out on my bread mat and cut the cookies out with the MC  ;) ;) Steaming the pistachios firs (think it is in one of the reviews that JD linked to) still makes it easier to cut them out with the MC as well.
